Professor Jung-Hwa Hur has been Associate Professor of Piano at Suncheon National University, Republic of Korea since 1999 and also has taught as part-time lecturer at Seoul National University, Sejong University, and Jeonbuk National University. This year she joins Chiang Mai Music Festival as Professor Han's teaching and musical colleague. She will teach in Chiang Mai as well as accompany some students on the second piano for the concerti performance on February 7 at the Ban Wangtaan Concert stage.

Professor Hur graduated from Seoul National University in 1984 with her Bachelor of Arts in Piano and also obtained her Master of Arts in Music from Seoul National University in Music in 1988.  In 1997 she earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from University of Arizona.  During those years of study she also served as Teaching Assistant in these institutions.  Professor Hur is an experineced and esteemed teacher in Korea.
