Teaching and Collaboration

Tong-Il Han
Chair Professor, College of Music, University of Ulsan, R. of Korea;
Chair Professor, Suncheon National University, R. of Korea;
Founder & Mentor, Tong-Il Han Piano Academy, Seoul, R. of Korea;
Visiting Professor, Elisabeth University of Music, Hiroshima, Japan

At the heart of the Chiang Mai Music Festival are teaching, “Youth Making Music for Youth” in local schools, and live performances for audiences from all walks of life. Each year Professor Han brings Young Pianists whom he regularly mentors for unforgettable live performances at the Chiang Mai Music Festival. During two days of the Festival visiting faculty will teach aspiring young pianists in the Chiang Mai community. This is an extension of Professor Han’s ongoing mentoring centered now in Korea and Japan.

The Chiang Mai Music Festival thus supports the local community and education for youth by contributing to goal-setting, striving, excellence, and realizing one's legitimate dreams.
